Radiotraceurs des récepteurs sérotoninergiques utilisés chez l’homme

Abstract : Over the past twenty years, medical imagery has emerged as an indispensable field in modern medicine. Involved in many medical disciplines such as oncology, neurology and cardiology, it is used daily in the screening, monitoring and as treatment of various pathologies. It has been considerably refined through the synthesis of new radiopharmaceuticals used in PET and SPECT imaging. Their development is the result of numerous studies and research carried out on targets of interest, thus making it possible a better understanding of the biological mechanisms and functions of the human body. Among them, serotonergic receptors quickly aroused particular interest. Indeed, their abundance in the central nervous system and their involvement in many neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression, anorexia or Alzheimer's disease have encouraged teams around the world to seek new methods of exploration. In particular through development of potent and selective agonists and antagonists toward these targets. In this manuscript, we will present the different types of receptors of this family, specifying for each of them, the functions, locations and radiotracers derived from these innovative technologies.
