Trouble de l’usage d’alcool : prise en charge thérapeutique du sevrage, du maintien de l’abstinence et de la réduction des consommations

Abstract : The alcohol use disorder is a chronic pathology with complex neurobiological mechanisms which requires long-term addiction treatment due to frequent relapses occurring over time. The addictological follow-up, which is the basis of the therapeutic care, may be associated with medicinal treatment. Among the molecules currently available on the French market, some such as benzodiazepines are used for the withdrawal of alcohol, acamprosate or naltrexone are used to help the maintenance of abstinence and nalmefene and baclofen to reduce the consumption. However, due to the average efficacy of these medicinal treatment, research continues to find new molecules to help curing this pathology.
