S’écouter et s’évaluer : l’enregistrement au service du bien chanter

Abstract : This study focuses on the effect of recording and listening to one’s own production in music education, along with the importance of self-assessment, which allows pupils to get more involved in improving their productions. Our reflection highlights the importance of listening, which is essential for singing properly. During the experimentation, two different methods were used and then compared: one allowing pupils to listen to their own production, and the other not. If there are technical limitations to using a music recorder in a classroom, this study shows that recording the pupils’ productions gives meaning to what is learned. Listening its own voice and other pupils’ productions, as well as learning to think critically about its own work, allows pupils to get more involved in singing together.
