L’apprentissage de la logique à la maternelle par le biais d’un jeu

Abstract : Even thought it’s not directly mentioned in the Program of nursery school, learning logic from the youngest age seems to be important. How can we help young student to build capacities and skills in the logic area ? Can they produce logical reasoning ? Can they formulate and validate them ? To reflect on these questions, we have built a work sequence based on the game LOGIKVille, and we have analyzed it a priori and a posteriori. The work objectifs are : to observe the logical reasoning of students, to observe how students use the symbolic mode and finally to observe the importance of the situations of action, formulation and validation. Results show us that when student are placed in situations of action, formulation and validation they can produce logical reasoning based on symbols. Therefore such situations made them (the logical reasoning) available for us. Finally, using games can help students to engage in the activity. To conclude, learning logic and using symbols can be pertinent even with young student. Confront them to the devolution of adidactic situations is very important and the teacher has to pay it attention.
