Toucher et constitution du corps propre au sein de la phénoménologie husserlienne

Abstract : This dissertation aims to study touch by showing how Husserl’s phenomenology approach provides the key to understand it in a whole new way. We want to show how and why touch is the only sense that can constitute the Body, i.e. the only one to be able to give some sense to my Body. This means that it is by touch that the first base of the “I” is given to me: the Body. In fact, the Body, as it is entirely tactile, is the privileged field of touch. It is the means of any perception, and as such, is central to any constitution. As a result, the Body is both constituted and constituting. But its constitution is entirely unique because the Body constitutes itself as a physical thing, Körper, and as a field of sensations, Leib. This means that the Body cannot be constituted as if it was a simple object. Husserl shows that the perceptive experience must be addressed from the point of view of the subject who lives it, which, however, does not detract from its objectivity. By constituting the Body, touch gives me a fundamental and objective truth: I am a Body, and not I have a Body.
