La pulpotomie camérale comme traitement définitif

Abstract : The preservation of pulp vitality must be a concern of every dental surgeon on a daily basis to maintain a tooth on the arcade. Today modern dentistry is evolving, techniques are developing, new biomaterials are emerging, and we can see that root canal treatment is not, in finality, the systematic treatment to be carried out during a pulp exposure. The problem in our practice is note to make the right diagnosis or not, but above all to make the right therapeutic decision and for the right reasons. The definitive cameral pulpotomy, corresponding to the removal of the coronary pulp from a tooth, is a pulpo-dentinary treatment decision that we possess in our therapeutic arsenal. We will show its indications, the decision criteria that lead us to choose this treatment at the expense of another, as well as its implementation protocol. We will then describe the biomaterials used in this treatment. Finally, though very recent literature reviews, we will try to show the successes of this treatment but also its limitations.
