Intégration pédagogique de la CFAO dans la formation pré-clinique de prothèse conjointe : modifications des enseignements et protocoles

Abstract : The use of digital technologies in the odontology practice is booming. Digital tools allows dental impressions, computer-aided design and fabrication of prosthetic parts and more generally they now concern the fields of cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implant surgery and orthognathic. These techniques will obviously represent the daily life of the dental surgeon and we have to prepare our students for them. Beyond their future practice, the digitalization of dental arches, now easily and quickly accessible, makes it possible to envisage a very wide field of applications with very high educational potential : digitalization and immediate 3D visualization on screen of the work done during practical work, as well as the rapid modeling and visualization of the objectives to be achieved, will allow an self-evaluation by the student, and a better contextualization of the assigned tasks. This work presents all of the orientations that prevailed when the project was set up within our teaching structure. It also allowed the creation of educational protocols intended for the teaching team.
