Entre intention de l’enseignant : compétences émotionnelles et bien-être scolaire

Abstract : This research offers a reflection on the link between the teacher's intention to work around emotions with his pupils, the emotional skills and the academic well-being of those pupils. The PISA survey showed us that French pupils are neither the happiest nor the best performers in the world. The scientific community is unanimous about the link between academic well-being and academic success as Evidenced by Bacro, Guimard et al. 2017 in their study of French pupils. While the correlation between academic well-being and emotional skills was confirmed in Shankland's 2019 study. The role of the school teacher has never been a studied variable. Time constraints preventing us from analyzing the teacher's actual practice, it is the declared intention that has been collected. Unfortunately, interviews and questionnaires have not allowed us to prove the link between the school teacher's stated intention, academic well-being and the emotional skills of the pupils. To finish this study, we questioned the biases that may have altered the results, we assume that the difference in the social environment of pupils is important.
