Les interventions psychothérapeutiques dans le trouble de l'usage du cannabis

Abstract : Cannabis use disorder is the most reported illegal substance use disorder. Our aim was to compare two Cochrane systematic reviews of the literature concerning psychosocial interventions for cannabis use disorder and to evaluate how craving was considered. We extracted raw data from both reviews and analyzed them by face validity to describe their similarities and differences. We screened both reviews looking for craving or synonyms. The objective and methods of both reviews were mostly similar. The second review also included drug counselling and mindfulness-based meditation as an intervention group. Five of the six studies included in the first review were also included in the second review. One article included in the first review was excluded from the second and one article excluded from the first review was included in the last review. Both reviews supported the efficacy of motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy interventions with adjunction of contingency management for abstinence when possible. There was no mention of craving in the 2006 review and few mentions in the 2016 review. Future research is needed to understand how these psychotherapies influence craving and to develop specific and integrated care for patients suffering from psychosis and cannabis use disorder.
