Profil de la femme enceinte internaute en e-santé : une étude quantitative menée dans les maternités de la Manche en 2020

Abstract : Introduction: Most of patients use web for health reasons. Women are large users. Only few studies exist about researches during pregnancy period whereas web is the media of pregnancy. Material and methods: 9months.com is a quantitative prospective and multicentric study in Manche during 2020; aiming to describe the profile of pregnant e-seeker women (PEW), describe factors influencing web seeking and target researches and expectations. During two months, 148 questionnaries were collected and analyzed. Results: our PEW profile match with literature. An increase was found for researches in ehealth in more than half PEW during pregnancy period. Those researches were influenced by: parity, anxiety during pregnancy, abilities using internet, knowledge about pregnancy, pregnancy follow-up, checking for pregnancy symptoms. During increase internet used for follow-up, illustrated websites are favorites ones, as a famous French forum Doctissimo®. Depending on websites choices, PEW will be more likely to have answers to their researches by using conforms of `Hon code websites than non conforms ones or by using both. PEW would like their care givers guide them on how to use internet. Discussion: Health care givers should invest more the web on the Health part to answer patients requests. It might be an unique portal in Health directed by public institutions.
