Évaluation des pratiques des médecins généralistes du Calvados dans la prophylaxie thrombo-embolique avant voyage en car

Abstract : Venous thromboembolic disease is a frequent and serious pathology. Coach trips, with the notion of prolonged reduced mobility may be the cause. Patients with a personal and/or family thromboembolic history and chronic venous insufficiency are recognized at risk. On average, it is from a journey time of six hours that the risk of thromboembolism is considered. The evaluation of the practices of general practitioners in Calvados on thromboprophylaxis before travel by coach shows a lack of training, the absence of a validated consensus and consequently a disparity of prophylactic measures. The dissemination of verified recommendations to general practitioners on this subject would allow harmonization and optimization of thromboembolic prevention before travel by coach.
