De la méthode de sélection d’indicateurs pertinents en hydrologie urbaine

Abstract : Indicators are tools of various forms and uses that summarize, represent or quantify complex phenomena by bringing new knowledge or understandings of them. They are created and chosen according to the subjectivity of their users and the objectives and context of their creation. The diversity of stakeholders and contexts behind their creation and use makes it difficult to establish an approach that is applicable and repeatable in all cases. Especially when their designers and end-users are not necessarily the same stakeholders and do not share the same skills and points of view on how to use them. We can distinguish several types of indicators depending on the fields and disciplines in which they are used and so many methods for selecting and analysing them This report focuses on the use of indicators in urban hydrology through two cases : the evaluation of hydrological models used in urban sanitation and the online valuation of the activity of the Urban Hydrology Field Observatory.
