Les coiffes télescopiques en prothèse complète implantoportée et santé parodontale. Revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : The implant rehabilitation of edentulous patients is a difficult challenge despite the many therapeutic possibilities available to the dentist. The solution often adopted is the fixed prosthesis, which appears to be an attractive solution due to its immovability and comfort during mastication. However, maintaining good hygiene is difficult for the patient. In this context, implant-supported telescopic copings present themselves as an interesting alternative in these patients. They facilitate hygiene care while maintaining the comfort of a fixed solution. The objective of this work was to establish, using data from the current literature, if there is periodontal interest in the placement of implant-supported telescopic abutments on edentulous patients. A search on the PubMed and Scopus databases, supplemented by a personal search, made it possible to select 7 articles corresponding to our inclusion criteria. It appears that telescopic abutments cause less dental plaque but an highter bone resorption compared to fixed prosthesis.
