Exploration de l’intérêt des pratiques hypnotiques et narratives dans la prise en charge orthophonique des enfants et adolescents anxieux présentant des troubles des apprentissages

Abstract : Anxiety is a recurrent disorder in children and adolescents with learning disabilities that we may encounter in speech therapy offices. When this anxiety is predominant, the patient may become blocked or frozen and the benefits of speech therapy may be limited. Our study consists of proposing hypnosis and narrative therapies as complementary tools to speech therapy management and exploring their interests. We conducted an exploratory case study, during which we assessed anxiety on two occasions. We also proposed speech therapy assessments in order to observe the effectiveness of the treatment. We were mainly interested in the effects of this approach regarding the reduction of anxiety and self-esteem, the improvement of the patient's self-confidence and skills, and the effectiveness of the speech therapy. Some biases in this study, as well as its predominantly qualitative nature, leave us to interpret the results with caution. We cannot prove that all the improvements obtained are attributable only to narrative therapy. This thesis shows the qualitative interest of this type of approach (anticipation and management of anxiety, better knowledge of oneself and one's internal feelings, a secure relationship with oneself and with others, etc.) and its total adequacy with speech therapy. Similarly, this work allows us to insist on the primordial role of the relationship of trust and security in the therapeutic relationship.
