Activité physique adaptée chez les patients dialysés. Étude des effets de la pratique d’une activité physique adaptée avant et pendant la dialyse chez des patients insuffisants rénaux

Abstract : Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a pathology that affects 7 to 10% of the French population and involves heavy treatment in its most advanced stages. The most common treatment available for severe forms of CKD is dialysis. It is now clear that physical activity is essential in these patients in order to improve negative symptoms such as fatigue, sleep disorders or muscle dysfunction. However, symptomatic fatigue and dialysis induce a high rate of inactivity in these patients who are forced to perform dialysis sessions of 3 to 4 hours, at a rate of 3 times per week. As a result, these patients are inactive and deconditioned, leading to a decrease in quality of life and increasing their mortality. The objective of this project is to study another way of practising physical activity that seems relevant to the constraints stated in these patients: intradialytic practice. This involves performing exercises during dialysis connection. This project therefore consists of proposing one session per week of resistance exercise during the dialysis session for one year. The scientific literature was mainly concerned with the effects of intradialytic aerobic exercise, we will focus here on the effects of resistance training on muscle strength. The variables tested will be functional strength, metabolic profile and quality of life. At this stage of the project, the T1 middle project evaluations have not yet taken place. This work is therefore the presentation of the project.
