Partenariat entre enseignants de l’école élémentaire, parents et orthophonistes : quelle collaboration autour du TDAH ?

Abstract : Parents, elementary school teachers and speech therapists have determining roles in the follow-up of the child with ADHD, a multifactorial disorder with multiple repercussions. The aim of this study is to determine the needs, expectations, possibilities and limits of the partnership between these parties in order to build a solid collaboration to optimize the care of children with ADHD enrolled in elementary school. We respectively surveyed speech therapists, elementary school teachers and parents of children with ADHD through online questionnaires. The results highlighted a lack of communication between these three parties. Their knowledge appears to be heterogeneous. Teachers training requires more accurate data on ADHD and its impacts. Thus, speech therapists can provide their expertise and support the implementation of accommodations adapted to the needs of children with ADHD. Thus, communication between the different partners could be enriched, allowing each actor to complement the others in the construction of a collaboration focused on the child.
