Danser en psychiatrie à la recherche de liberté : l’impact de la médiation danse en psychomotricité sur la liberté des personnes hospitalisées sur le long cours

Abstract : The search for freedom for patients suffering from severe psychiatric pathologies is conditioned by the reappropriation of the self. The ability to act by ourselves and being an actor of our future is an objective to be reach. To realise this, psychomotricity can play an important role in the reappropriation of the own body. Dance is a corporal mediation, that can be use in psychomotricity, and it’s a way to reach the objective of the reappropriation and to give back the freedom of movement. Dance allows a return to ourself in order to learn how to be the principal actor of movement, so that it will make sense for us. This work aims to highlight the ways giving by dance mediation in reappropriation of oneself in a psychiatric unit, with patients hospitalized for a long time. It’s also dealing with the place of freedom in this unit and its importance in the context of psychiatric cares.
