Prise en charge des pathologies cutanées à l'officine

Abstract : Dermatology is a complex specialty with which the pharmacist is regularly confronted with the dispensary. Because of its ease of access, the pharmacist is often the first to be called upon for skin disorders. He thus plays a major role in the management of skin pathologies both through his advice given in addition to prescribed treatment and through his diagnosis in benign skin conditions. Skin pathologies such as acne, psoriasis or different types of dermatitis can have a strong psychological impact on the patient due to certain unsightly forms. The pharmacist must listen to the patient's expectations, reassure him and provide advice to improve treatment compliance and quality of life. The pharmacist will however have to assess using his knowledge whether a skin condition requires a medical consultation by a doctor or a dermatologist or if it can be treated without.
