Évaluation des pratiques professionnelles du dépistage des troubles urinaires au cours de l’examen général maternel quotidien à J2 du post partum à l’HCE

Abstract : Objectives: The main objective was to assess the rate of screening, by the midwives, of the three main urinary disorders found in the post partum period, during the daily examination in the maternity hospital. Material and Method: It’s an observational, descriptive, prospective, transversal and monocentric clinical audit to evaluate professional practices. This study is based on 30 directs observations in the mother-child unit at the HCE in Grenoble. Majors criteria were defined and had to be filled to define conformity. of the study. Results: Only one midwife met all the majors criteria. Strenghts were observed in the screnning of infectious signs. A lack of professional attention to continence and retention disorders was highlighted. Conclusion: Lack of time and awareness of professionals about theses disorders should be reassessed. It could be interesting to train professionals, to use explanatory materials and to review the information given to patients during the antenatal period.
