La déportation des ecclésiastiques et séminaristes catholiques exerçant leur apostolat en France durant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale

Abstract : This master's thesis presents a study of the group of Catholic ecclesiastics and seminarians exercising their apostolate in France deported during the Second World War. Beyond the sociological aspect addressed in the first part, this work consists in analyzing the reasons for the arrest of a socio-professional category which, in the imagination, unanimously adopts the idea of the National Revolution put forward by Pétain. This work also looks at the journeys in France in internment camps or prisons before joining the concentration camp or prison system of the Reich. More specifically, this study proposes an analysis of the specifics of their deportation in the face of other deportees of repression, in particular through their status as religious, and, later, at liberation, through their memory and their testimonies.
