La pratique d’une activité physique régulière chez les patients atteints de la mucoviscidose

Abstract : Background: Cystic fibrosis is the most frequent genetic pathology in France, it affects several organs including the lungs and the pancreas. We know that the practice of an activity is important for the whole population, in terms of life quality and health, which leads us to study the effects of this one on chronic diseases such as the mucoviscidose. Objective: The aim of this literature review is to determine whether physical activity has an effect on the perception of quality of life and lung function (FEV1 and VO2max) in cystic fibrosis patients. Method: Several scientific databases were investigated to obtain randomized clinical trials. In these trials, the investigation was to compare the practice of a physical activity (muscular or aerobic) to a control group which did not have to modify its life rhythm. Results: The results obtained were convincing concerning FEV1 and VO2max but were not the expected results concerning the quality of life. Conclusion: As the quality of life did not change significantly, it would be interesting to study the effects of sport on other more relevants criterias for the patients.
