Intérêt de la prise en charge kinésithérapique chez les femmes ayant des douleurs pelviennes provoquées par de l'endométriose

Abstract : Introduction: In France, one woman in ten suffers from endometriosis. It is a condition whose cause is still unknown. It can affect all the soft structures of the pelvic floor (muscles, fascias and ligaments), as well as all the pelvic organs (vagina, uterus, ovaries, bladder, rectum...). Few non-invasive treatments (medical or surgical) are part of the management of this pathology. Objectives : The aim of this literature review is to determine if physiotherapy can reduce pain and improve quality of life of women with endometriosis. Method: A systematic search was performed on the PubMed, PEDro, and Cochrane library databases. Some clinical trials were excluded, others included using a search equation and specific exclusion and inclusion criteria. At the end of these analyses, 5 randomized controlled trials were selected. Result: 4 articles out of 5, showed statistically significant results of our primary outcome. Only 2 reached clinical relevance. The quality of the studies was too low and the heterogeneity too high to have reliable results. Conclusion: The results of the studies do not allow to conclude on the effectiveness of physiotherapy management, although 2 techniques seem relevant : TENS and PMR. The other techniques are promising, they require more research with a higher methodological quality.
