Évolution de l’interface implant-pilier pour les piliers Plateforme-switching au cours du temps. Une revue de la littérature

Abstract : Implantology is playing an increasingly important part in the general practice of private dentists. With this boom in the number of applications, implant failures after osseointegration are increasing. The evolution of the implant abutment interface over time could have an effect on this survival rate. After having succinctly presented the materials and mechanisms involved in the evolution of the implant connection, this study will apply to describe the current state of knowledge regarding the evolution of the implant-abutment interface for platform-abutments. switching over time and its implication in peri-implant inflammatory phenomena over the last fifteen years, through a review of the literature. Within the limitations of this study, titanium appears to be the best solution to limit degradation of the implant interface. However, zirconia remains a promising material, but the main flaw is wear due to the hardness differential. More studies are needed inorder to choose the best combination of materials for the supra-implant prosthesis.
