L’approvisionnement alimentaire des ménages à l’épreuve de l’accessibilité spatiale et de la crise sanitaire du Covid-19. L’exemple de l’agglomération caennaise

Abstract : Food systems are a major concern today, as the world's population continues to grow and it is becoming increasingly difficult to feed everyone. The available food supply is therefore becoming a major issue in order to feed the population properly. A "supply territory" is the physical space in which the supply universes are located; this space can also be called the "food environment". In the current context of the Covid-19 health crisis, it is appropriate to question the evolution of household supply channels. The announcement of the general lockdown by the President of the Republic on March 16th 2020 has upset the French. All of their habits are being transformed and the population is facing an unprecedented situation. What food supply do the inhabitants of the Caen area have? How do households perceive the food supply around their place of residence? Did households' supply locations change during and after the initial containment of the health crisis? This study begins with an overview of the food supply. Then, it examines the diversity of supply available in different neighbourhoods. Finally, analysis are carried out to show the changes that the health crisis may have caused among the inhabitants of the Caen agglomeration.
