Impacts des corticoïdes inhalés à forte dose sur la cavité buccale

Abstract : Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease treated as first-line with inhaled corticosteroids. The subject of my thesis is the impact of these drugs on the oral cavity. Indeed, the deposition of corticosteroids on the dental tissues increases the risk of certain pathologies. Knowing these risks we can anticipate their manifestations. I first carried out research on the scientific literature and select relevant studies, then I proposed a study protocol about the exposure of two clinical cases with adults received at Charles Foix hospital in 2020.
The conclusions of these studies and clinical examinations show similar results. Several pathologies were listed. Some of them manifest themselves more easily in patients treated with inhaled corticosteroids.
