Implication de la CFAO dans les restaurations partielles collées postérieures : matériaux et préparations. Une revue de la littérature

Abstract : Aim: the advent of new optical cameras and the principles of minimally invasive dentistry have recently gained in importance. The objective of our research is to study the implication of the CAD / CAM on the cavity preparation and on the fabricated material choice for the posterior indirect adhesive restorations. Material and methods: this is a systematic review following PRISMA recommendations, using PubMed, DOSS and Scopus databases, as well as French literature . The informations have been selected on a primary reading of the titles and the abstracts, which then led to a full reading of the articles. Studies respecting inclusion and exclusion criteria were included. Results: 37 articles were included in this systematic review, 29 articles in English and 8 articles in French. The studies highlighted the modifications to take in consideration for the preparations of CAD/CAM posterior indirect adhesive restorations, a homothetic preparation of the occlusal surface and the limit shapes to respect. Concerning the fabricated materials, vitreous ceramics seem to be the best materials in regards to aesthetics, biocompatibility and bonding. Conclusion: CAD/CAM posterior indirect adhesive restorations are increasingly used as a result of development of new cameras and the improvement of fabricated materials properties. These treatments meet the criterias of our patients who require minimalist, aesthetic and resistant restorations. Nevertheless, more large-scale studies and long-term follow-ups would be necessary to evaluate the success rate of these restorations.
