Accueillir les élèves allophones en classe ordinaire : élaboration d’une formation pour les enseignants

Abstract : Elementary school teachers with Allophone students in their classrooms are often deprived and most often untrained to teach to this particular audience. The UPE2A, teaching units for allophone students, are not always there to help these teachers. We are developing training for about 15 teachers, based on pluralistic approaches and intercultural sensitivity. We illustrate concepts such as plurilingualism, verbal repertoire or communication skills with excerpts of the documentary film Les langues reliées, which was made in a multilingual nursery class. We try to put ourselves in the position of an allophone student thanks to exercises produced by CARAP and ADEB. Finally, we offer some tools and examples of activities adapted to these students, such as the multilingual story bag, the language flower, children storybooks, videos, software and more generally CASNAV resources.
