Modes d’un modèle de poutre linéaire avec des conditions aux limites élastiques couplée à un oscillateur non linéaire

Abstract : This report deals with passive control of the mode of a beam with elastic boundaries conditions. We want to model a part of a transmission line cable. The aim is to study the possibility of passive control for vibration reduction of this cable with a nonlinear energy sink. In Quebec, due to frost, a vibration phenomenon called galloping causes mechanical damages on transmission line. First, we calculate the mode shape of a beam with elastic boundaries conditions. Then, we project on one mode the system that consists of the beam connected to a nonlinear oscillator. We find the equilibrium points of the system by using a multiple scale method. Then, we conduct a finite element model with Code_Aster. We perform modal analysis and dynamic analysis of the system under harmonic force. Finally, we compare the different results.
