Le pouvoir des histoires : la lecture à voix haute au collège

Abstract : The use of the reading aloud is often reduced at the elementary school and the learning of the reading to young children. However, this practice can turn out be a necessary tool for all students, for the youngest but also for adolescents. This dissertation is studying the interest of the reading aloud to high school from a pedagogical, educational, and psychological point a view. The benefits of the oral reading are analyzed under angles different in the objective to offer a panorama largest possible on its interest at the school. To report these different aspects of the reading aloud, many activities are proposed to secondary school student. Firstly, moments where we listen stories : naps told, oral readings by external speaker or professors. Secondly, moments where the students become actors of the reading oral. Lastly, from the analysis of questionnaires given to students and from the observations done by the professors, we can affirm the importance of the reading aloud in the high school. We measure an improvement of school atmosphere and serenity students while doing the promotion of reading, developing oral skills or student’s sensibility.
