La gestion des flux de circulation au cabinet dentaire

Abstract : In dentistry, the circulation flows correspond to the movements of practitioners, patients, assistants and any secretaries at the dental office. An analysis of the circulation of the different protagonists must be carried out before the creation of a new structure. The aim of this work is to broach several concepts and methods to optimize the different circulation flows at dental office. For this, the latter as a whole must therefore be adapted to the dentist, the assistant and the entire staff. This principle is called ergonomics, which advocates the adaptation of work and its environment to the person who performs it and not the other way round. The optimization of circulation flows, in particular the work on two chairs and the four-handed dentistry, has many advantages such as limiting the fatigue and stress of all the protagonists as well as reducing the risk of cross-contamination. This thesis will provide an analysis of these flows through several examples of dental offices that differ both in their architectural layout and in the members of the healthcare team.
