Présentation d'un protocole d'étude clinique pour l'évaluation d'un nouveau susbstitut osseux, l'OsteoBiol® GTO®, dans la préservation alvéolaire post-extractionnelle

Abstract : Filling the socket with a bone substitute placed immediately after extraction can significantly limit post-extraction alveolysis. Used in the form of hydroxyapatite granules, these substitutes must be covered with a resorbable collagen membrane, complicating the surgical procedure and increasing its cost and duration. Osteobiol® GTO®, a collagenous xenogenic bone of porcine origin, follows the criteria of a biomaterial used in alveolar preservation techniques. The particularity of this material is its thermosensitivity: pasty and sticky when applied, GTO® will harden in contact with blood after 24 hours at body temperature. The objective of this clinical study project is to evaluate the effectiveness of GTO® in alveolar ridge preservation. The primary outcome will be the measurement of post-extraction horizontal bone resorption 3 months after a simplified and standardised alveolar filling procedure with GTO® bone substitute after tooth extraction.
