Patients in a chronic vegetative state (CVS) or in a pauci-relational state (PRS) find themselves in a state of significant dependence. They cannot communicate verbally, can only move to a limited extent and are heavily medicalized. But how can we communicate with these patients? How to accompany them through psychomotor care? During my one-year internship in a Continuing Care and Rehabilitation Service with patients in CVS and PRS, I had the opportunity to learn more about the care of these patients. I was thus able to perceive the role of psychomotricity for this population. I was particularly interested in everything that could be transmitted through the body in relation with the tonic dialogue.
