Évaluation de la pertinence et du délai décision-naissance des césariennes non programmées au CH Valence

Abstract : The purpose of our study was to estimate the relevance of the emergency caesarians and the efficiency of our team in the implementation of protocols color codes in CH of Valence. We realized an audit of the practices in our service from November, 2010 till January, 2011. The adequacy of the indications and the color code of every emergency caesarian was estimated by a daily staff. The evaluation of the efficiency was made by the interval between decisionand delivery, the existence of a delay with regard to the objectives of extraction foetal and a link of this with a forecast pejorative materno-foetal. We included in our study 41 files. Our results show a relevance of the indications but a rate of 9,76 % of inadequacy in the color codes. The interval between decision and delivery was not respected in 39 % of the cases. The overtaking of this interval seems to be in connection with a decrease of pH. The maternal forecast is not bound to the interval. A regular evaluation of the relevance and the efficiency of the emergency caesarians and the implementation of corrective solutions are necessary for the improvement of the obstetric teams and the surgical unit.
