Élaboration d'un support d'information sur l'aphasie à l'attention des enfants dont un parent est aphasique

Abstract : Aphasia is a neurological pathology as complex as all psychological and social consequences it causes to people with aphasia and their family. In the light of the systemic approach, we met these families affected by aphasia and who have accepted to testify about their experience of the situation and more especially, their children's experience. We conducted semi-structured interviews with children in order to know how they were informed. We also wished to identify their needs and the perception they could have about one support which would explain the meaning of aphasia and its impacts. Considering our results, children aren't systematically informed by health professionals, and when they are, it's often inadequate or insufficient. According to the information gathered during the interviews, we created an informative support on the topic of aphasia to the benefit of the children whose one of the parents, or by extension a family member, is aphasic. Then we submitted our information leaflet to a sample of children and it suited their expectations. Finally, the aim of this study was to make an information tool about aphasia available and adapted to children.
