La méthodologie des Atlas de paysages : un outil d'aide à la qualification des franges bâties rurales ? Étude de cas sur les Pays de la Loire

Abstract : Narrow days, urban sprawl is a major problem for rural landscapes. They make them disappear, while people praise them. In order to manage these growth better, we can focus on a better management and description of their borders with the agricultural areas, which means dealing with their urban limits. Planarization tools are the most suited for this task, but unfortunately they don't plan these limits specifically. The landscapes Atlas are tools for a better knowledge of landscapes on a regional or county scale. They describe them according to the European convention for landscape: firstly the landscape as an inanimate state, then its sociological aspect and finally the landscape as a dynamic process. These documents are based on a method written for the first time in 1994, and then improved in 2004 and 2009. This method will be adapted in a new mapping planarization tool for urban limits, in order to take them into account in the intermunicipal planarization tools, the PLUi.
