Connaissances du fonctionnement de la mémoire et pratiques en classe : étude auprès d'enseignants du premier degré

Abstract : This study questions fourteen primary school teachers and teachers for children beteween three and twelve years old in order to identify if they have, throught their schoolings, necessary knowledge for speaking about human memory porcesses to their pupils. They complete a questionnaire and two sorting cards focus respectively on the difference between short-term memory and long-term memory. It also focus on the different strategies for memory difficulties. In order to increase primary school teachers' knowledge about memory, a training will be necessary. They are voluntary to take this training. They know that it is important to support memory's knowledge as soon as possible : during the infant school, in order to enable pupil to work in the best learning conditions as far as possible.
