Ruses et tromperies médiévales : la pratique théâtrale pour développer des compétences et améliorer l’ambiance de classe

Abstract : Playing theatre is an activity which is recognized for developing psychosocial and school skills. In this study, we used a medieval play in CM1 and CM2 to discover cultural differences between our age and the medieval one. Moreover we wanted to put in practice this play to improve the overall atmosphere of the class and develop the pupils’ skills. We worked with qualitative questionnaires and observation during lessons and practice sessions. Our results showed that this study brings focus on cultural differences even if we did not work on it a lot. We also found that pupils show interest for practical sessions and some of their testimonies let us think that it improved their psychosocial and school skills. It would be interesting to continue this study for more precise results.
