Libération des monomères par les résines composites en odontologie conservatrice : données actuelles

Abstract : The use of amalgams has been declining for several years in favor of materials imitating the color of natural teeth: composite resins. In addition to traditional composite resins, new resins (Siloranes, Ormocer, Compomers, Giomers) have appeared on the market. However, following the placement of these materials to restore the teeth, monomers and other chemicals are released into the oral cavity. Substances released have various effects on the mouth. In addition, research is being undertaken to reduce or even eliminate these more or less toxic substances by improving the properties of resins. It becomes necessary to be able to identify them and limit their release in order to have the most biocompatible therapeutic possible.
