Dans quelles mesures l’aménagement de l’espace public urbain peut-il contribuer à combattre et adapter les villes au changement climatique ? Étude de cas de la requalification de la rocade du Jarret à Marseille

Abstract : We are facing a very rapid climate change that is creating a need to adapt our most common living environment: the city and its public spaces. The cities in which we will live tomorrow will be radically different from those we know today. Under the influence of powerful movements of funds such as climate change, possible natural disasters, the scarcity of resources, the transformation of lifestyles, the change in social practices the cities are putting in place strategies to adapt and reinvent their spaces. In the case of a public space development project, the various actors involved in the project must find the right design, make the appropriate technical choices and establish a sustainable and resilient development in the face of new climate predictions. This paper proposes new solutions and alternatives that can be implemented during development to meet new UHI and flood control objectives. Applying this approach to a project in the city of Marseille, we will try to estimate the impact of the redevelopment of a main axis of the city on this important issue.
