Analyse des impacts que la mémorisation de mots et la lecture d’un texte les contenant exercent l’un sur l’autre en classe de CP

Abstract : As school teachers, we have to constantly adapt our teaching practices to the needs of the students. We know that each student implements strategies, to learn and to integrate the knowledge, conveyed by the teacher. However, what we do not know, is what kind of strategies they use. The duty of the teacher is to know each of his/her students – even the most reserved ones, in order to be able to give them all the help they might need, to succeed in their studies. Therefore, the teacher has to be able to create situations, boosting the students’ curiosity, as no learning is possible without motivation to discover new notions. The impact memorising has on reading, and vice versa, is to be found in the wake of actual researches around the link between neuroscience and learning. Through this essay, we are trying to answer the following question: “What is the impact that memorising words and reading a text, containing those words, have on each other?” as mastering reading is one of the challenges of the First Grade.
