Étude de l’impact de l’implantation d’une voie dynamique réservée aux véhicules à occupation multiple : modélisation analytique et numérique du cas d’étude lyonnais

Abstract : High occupancy vehicle lanes are nowadays part of the many solutions used to solve urban congestion in big cities. They have been planned and built for twenty years in countries like the United States of America, Canada or even Australia. The Lyon conurbation committee is thinking about converting one of the lanes of its A6-A7 motorway into a dynamic High Occupancy Vehicle lane, to reduce the huge congestion queues during morning and evening rush hours. In order to determine convenient perimeters and activation durations, the project committee has to order an impact study during the pilot stage. LICIT and the IRT SystemX are scientific entities in charge of this study. An analytical representation is built with formulas from traffic engineering theoretical formalism and followed by a microsimulation study. Then, the results are compared and analysed.
