Utsukushii Nihon (Un beau Japon) : introduction à Nippon Kaigi : une image des conservatismes japonais contemporains

Abstract : This study is about the institutional and ideological environment of conservatist and nationalist movements in contemporary Japan, and focuses on a movement called Nippon Kaigi, created in 1997. While its ideology is not new among radical Japanese conservatism, Nippon Kaigi is a mothership to these conservative forces, as its biggest and most influent organization. The study first provides an overview of the birth of the political stream that Nippon Kaigi belongs to ; in a second part, it focuses on the organization itself ; finally, it draws up a review of the influence Nippon Kaigi had on Japanese political life in the last twenty years.
