Apport de la médecine narrative à la relation thérapeutique dans le cadre de la formation en orthophonie

Abstract : Canguilhem establishes that an illness corresponds to the emergence of a intimate catastrophy. During the nineties, narrative medecine took this saying into account in order to analyse the personnal turmoil that embodies a disease. Rarely taught, narrative medecine remains an alernative discipline though proved efficient.
SLT’s a domain which draws on clinical abilities as well as good therapeutic alliance. It appears thus as a perfect field for teaching therapeutic theories. The aim of this study will be to show the benefit of a course in narrative medecine in the SLT’s education.
On March 10, an introductive presentation of narrative medecine was led for fourth year Nice SLT’s students. At the end of the presentation a questionnaire was delivered. The twenty-six students filled it and results show a certain interest for therapeutic relation and an appeal towards narrative medecine amongst SLT’s students. Eventhough some narrative medecine tools did not seem relevent, the majority of students said they will us narrative medecine precepts in the future.
