La formation linguistique des réfugiés en mission de service civique. Le cas du projet « Réfugié Citoyen » de l’AAJT

Abstract : In France, language teaching to adults migrants is in charge of the service providers who answer to the calls for bids or foundations that fight against discrimination due to the lack of the language mastery. In the case of refugees integration via civil service, french must be taught all the way through the mission. This creates several types of french teaching programs and practices according to each context. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the type of program that would be appropriate to implement as part of this policy specifically in the context of the Association d’Aide aux Jeune Travailleurs in Marseille. In order to achieve this objective, a methodological mix among ethnographic, empiric-inductive and qualitative approaches has oriented this research. Interviews with students and foundations specialized in french teaching have been analyzed as well as the pedagogical actions implemented within the scope of this linguistic support. The results show that civil service program for refugees needs a specific teaching program since its goals are different from the ones of interviewed foundations. Consequently, this dissertation leads to a proposition of a french teaching program that searchs to support refugees in the preparation of the civil program.
