Intérêt de l'implantoplastie dans le traitement de la péri-implantite : revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Aim: We tried to know, through the analysis of the clinical and radiographic parameters, if implantoplasty had its place in the therapeutic arsenal of peri-implantitis. Material and methods: A systematic review of the literature was carried out on the databases Pubmed, ResearchGate and ScienceDirect. Studies published since 2005, dealing with implantoplasty and analyzing clinical and radiographic parameters over a period of more than 6 months were selected. Results: The first search yielded a total of 139 results. 11 publications met the inclusion criteria. All studies reported a statistically significant decrease in probing depth and bleeding on probing, as well as stabilization of bone level when the implantoplasty is used. Discussion: There is a variety in inclusion criteria, diagnostic criteria, follow-up periods, and surgical protocols. Conclusion: Implantoplasty provides improvement in clinical and radiographic parameters. It should be combined with the different surgical therapeutics of peri-implantitis treatment.
