Le jeu en géographie : un outil d'apprentissage efficace ?

Abstract : Geography is a scholar subject that tend to the acquisition of numerous skills, and mostly of a "geographic reasoning". This experiment seems to show that the simulation game allow an improvement on it, through the work and the exploitation of the variables incurred by the geographic reasoning. A group of CM1 student did the experiment. They had to do a pre-test to check their initial knowledge. Then some of them played the simulation game designed for the experiment. In this game, each player plays an inhabitant ofa piece of land show on the board, and they have to act and modify the space according to their needs, but also to the needs of the community. The purpose of the game is that the city has the most "happy point". So the players have to play together, cooperate and do some compromises in order to always find the best solution for the city, the one that would please the most. After the game, they had to do another test to check if the game actually improved their geographic reasoning.
