La littérature jeunesse, intégrée à une séquence d’enseignement moral et civique permet-elle un travail sur l’égalité fille-garçon et son affirmation ?

Abstract : Equality between girls and boys, women and men, is a rule recently accepted in France, although not always respected. It has even become one of the missions of the education system. The educational institution must mobilise to help children not to construct, or even donstruct the gender stereotypes and bias that are voluntarily or involuntarily, instilled in them. In this essay, I propose a research experiment in a 7-8 year-old class with the aim of deconstructing gender stereotypes and bias that pupils may have constructed or at least instil in them a first consideration. To do so I have chosen to do this notion of equality between girls and boys through moral and civic education as well as children’s literature. I therefore chose to set up a sequence of ten lessons with my class and then to analyse it in order to observe my pupils evolution. As future citizen of the Republic, they are the future actors of equality.
