Jeux vidéo et albums jeunesse : vers une redéfinition de la lecture ludique dans l’édition pour enfants ?

Abstract : Whereas houses are filled with screens and the digital natives grow up within a digital environment that is very natural to them, this study is about the links between children’s picture books and video games. It aims to think about the influence that video games can have on the editorial production, in its paper version, and the cultural convergence that can happen between the two media. The picture books become more and more hybrids, whether we consider their shapes or their stories, and can be called interactive or augmented reality books. This work is meant to think about the complementarity between the two media and not their competition, and how this complementarity can modify children’s reading.
