Promouvoir l’égalité filles-garçons à partir de la littérature de jeunesse au cycle 2

Abstract : Since 1989, guidelines of diversity and gender equality have been included in the Education Code. Strengthen by 2013 school refoundation law, they have continued to grow and are defined as “major national causes" by the president, Emanuel Macron. School, in consultation with the family, has a key role to play in making its students aware of gender stereotypes. Nevertheless, teachers must choose materials adapted to the understanding abilities of their young pupils in order to address this complicated issue. This research aims to show that children's literature, used in a philosophical discussion’s context, can help students (1stand 2ndgrade) to develop critical thinking skills towards these stereotypes.
