Construction du concept de volume en CM1 - CM2 lors d'une séquence, incluant une situation adidactique, construite et analysée dans le cadre de la problématisation

Abstract : Volume is maths magnitude that is studied since kindergarten (in France). However, it is a concept that is not always completely well used, including during adulthood. Before measuring a volume, it is necessary to discover and to manipulate magnitude to better perceive it. In this research paper, it is question of this concept’s construction in a 10-11-year-old class. I explain to you about problematization and situation adidactique1, two theoretical frameworks which allowed me to understand how to teach this notion to pupils, how to make them understand the volume and how to compare this magnitude, in case of full or hollow objects. In this paper, I explain two stages that allow this teaching: a manipulation’s stage thanks to situations adidactiques2, and peer discussions, throughout debates. Indeed, these two elements allow to pupils to construct an issue, in other words, to problematize.
